WICK TRIMMER SET
€23,00
Before lighting the candle, fully unpack it and ensure all paper or plastic protective materials have been removed.
Regularly trim the candle wick, leaving it at a length of 0.5-0.8 cm. It’s normal to trim the wick to maintain a healthy flame height throughout the life of your candle.
If you’re experiencing a tall flame, simply extinguish the candle and slightly trim the wick.
Allow the candle to burn for at least four hours to achieve a full melt pool across the top.
If black smoke appears after prolonged burning, it indicates the wick is too long. Extinguish the candle before trimming the wick.
After extinguishing the candle and before the wax fully solidifies, straighten the wick upright.
Stop burning your candle when 1-2 cm of candle wax remains
Candle wick trimming is a key part of candle care. However, this is often overlooked. It's easy (and certainly possible) to light a candle and go, but that way you won't get the most out of the candle.
Whether you have a cotton wick or a wooden wick, you should trim your candle wicks to extend the life and performance of your candle.
Trim the candle wick to achieve the following results:
1. Ensure flame height
2. Protect from soot
3. Achieve the right scent
Use a wick trimmer or a nail clipper to keep the wick at about 0,5-0,8 cm.
A wick trimmer is a long scissor-like device specifically designed to trim candle wicks. It’s the perfect complementary accessory to any candle set. Wick trimmers are typically long to accommodate the depth of a candle jar. As your candle wax gets lower, the deeper you’ll need to reach to trim the wick.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended.
• Keep the candle away from easily flammable items.
• Avoid placing a burning candle in an accessible area for children or pets.
• Do not leave trimmed wick pieces or matches in the candle.
• Keep the candle away from drafts, fans, and other air currents. Do not place candles closer than 10 cm apart from each other.
• Do not extinguish a candle with water; use a specialized snuffer or extinguisher.
• Before leaving the room, ensure the candle is completely extinguished and the wick is not smoldering.
• Do not use the candle as a source of light during the night.
